Double Dark Chocolate Cookies

I am still baking for Operation Baking Gals and I am having fun, selecting recipes to make.  I make new recipes that go quickly.  Last night, I made ginger cookies and these chocolate ones.  I like a crispier ginger cookie than the one I made but this was perfect, a little soft and chewy with chunks of chocolate in them.   These are from Better Homes and Gardens.  I have been finding great success with their recipes.   Double Dark Chocolate Cookies Adapted from Better Homes and Gardens - Makes: 36 servings Ingredients:  ¼ cup margarine, softened · ¼ cup canola oil · ½ cup packed brown sugar · ¼ cup granulated sugar · 1 egg · 1 teaspoon vanilla · 1 cup all-purpose flour · ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder · ½ teaspoon baking powder · 1/8 teaspoon salt · 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped Method: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brownie Cookies - Martha

Image
Another cookie for our wounded who fight for us and country.  My aim now is to get a good share of chocolate cookies.  I have made the chocolate caramel cookies which I will post.  Now for the brownie cookies, a cakey chocolate cookie that is a change from the rest of the chocolate cookies.  This is another easy cookie to make and it goes quickly.  My choice is a smaller round than Martha makes so I cut the cooking time. The recipe below has my changes included. Brownie Cookies  (adapted from Martha Stewart) Everyday Food, June 2009 Yield Makes 34 Ingredients 12 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon sal...

Chewy Molasses Spice Cookies - Operation Baking Gals

Today, I started my baking for Operation Baking Gals.  I have made three different cookies, so far.  I am hoping to bake another tonight and a few tomorrow so I can ship them out, at the beginning of the period of time.  I usually get there on the last day. One time when I baked for the soldiers, I used Taste of Home since they have easy and durable cookies.  Other times, it was a random decision.  This time, I am baking Martha Stewart recipes.  The two I made, so far, were good.  One, I loved and the other was OK. These chewy molasses cookies were fabulous.  Baked correctly, the outer rim is a little crisp and the inside is chewy, a delight to the tongue.   Chewy Molasses Spice Cookies -- Everyday Food, December 2005 Yield Makes 36 Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour (spoone...
