Chocolate Cream Mousse

Chocolate Cream Mousse  ( this recipe is from Kraft Foods ) Ingredients: 3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate 3 ounces whipped cream cheese 1 teaspoon vanilla1 7 ounce jar of marshamallow fluff or creme 2 cups thawed  whipped topping Method: Microwave chocolate on high at 15 second intervals or until chocolate is completely melted when stirred.  Cool slightly. Beat cream cheese and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.  Add chocolate and marshmallow cream. Beat until well blended.  Gently stir in 2 cups of the whipped topping. Place in a serving bowl or in individual cups. If you want, top with additional whipped cream. Some recipes do not have to be explained and this is one of them.  I saw the name and knew it was mine.  How could I walk away from a Chocolate Marshmallow Marble Mousse?  Fortunately, I didn't have to. Chocolate Marshmallow Marbled Mousse   (this recipe is adapted from a forgotten place.  If you find it online, please let me know.  INGREDIENTS 7 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped 1 cup Rice Milk 1 cup marshmallow fluff or creme 2 cups cold whipping cream 1 teaspoon vanilla extract DIRECTIONS Microwave the chocolate in a microwave safe container until it melts.  (I check every 20 seconds.) Remove the chocolate from the microwave oven as soon as it is melted and stir it smooth. Have ready a serving bowl with a 2- to 2 1/2-quart capacity. Mousse Can Stand Alone but Why?

 I love mousse.  I love it in a cup and I love it in a pie.  It is grand in a cake and it is even more so layered.  I started out making a layered cake but I was running late and did not want to take the time to cut the layer down the middle.  For me, that is a traumatic time.  I have messed up the cake more than not.  Instead, I used the mousse as a frosting or perhaps, even a layer.  It was thicker than any frosting, I have seen. With this change, came extra mousse and my daughter-in-law stepped in and created this beauty which tastes as good as I think it looks.  Mousse in A Glass Ingredients: 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/3 cup boiling water 3 cups whipping cream confectioner's sugar Method: Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave.  It should not take long and you should remove it while it still has a loose form.    Pour the boiling water over the chocolate and mix it completely so you have a smooth chocolate.
