Apple Crunch

I have said it before....apples are great in desserts.  Whether it be a pie, a crisp, a crunch, or a kugel, it will be good with apples.  Serve this with some vanilla ice cream.  Delicious.

Apple Crunch

 1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon margarine, cut in small pieces

Topping
 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
 2 tablespoons margarine·

                                                                   1 egg
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Method:

Mix apples with 1 cup of sugar and cinnamon.

Place in a greased 8-inch baking dish.

Dot with the 1 tablespoon of margarine.

Combine topping ingredients, adding nuts and raisins last.

Stir until blended then pour over apples.

Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

Eat and enjoy.
